Today’s letter should be “C” for CRAZY! Am I crazy to do
this A-Z blog challenge? Twenty-sex, er, -six blog posts in April??? Yes,
probably, but that would be no surprise to friends and family!
But today is the beginning of the blogging, and beginnings
mean anticipation. I love starting
things (not so good on the finishing if I get bored along the way). So today is
Anticipation.
Remember the Carly Simon song that includes these words?
“Anticipation, anticipation
Is makin' me late
Is keepin' me waitin' “
Is makin' me late
Is keepin' me waitin' “
I am filled with anticipation.
My cup runneth over with anticipation.
For what, you ask? (another “a” word, by the way)
Looking forward to 25 more blog posts? Well, not so much.
No, I am anticipating the
publication of two novels. I have been a full-time writer for four years. And
this year is my breakout year. This is the year I am officially validated--in
my eyes--as a professional writer.
I’ll be telling you more about what’s coming up, but for
now, let me say that I an anticipating
publication of my first erotic romance. Streetwalker
(first book in the “Sex Sells” series) will be out an an e-book this spring
from Sizzler Editions (an imprint of Renaissance E Books).
A very different book is anticipated for publication from another small press (to be named
later). Mission Impastable is the first
book in the culinary mystery series, “Dinner is Served”. If you like you
mysteries in a sort of cookbook, you’ll love this one.
What are you anticipating?
Both the large and the small engender a shiver of delight. Revel in your anticipations.
Congratulations on your upcoming publications! They sound yummy and I'll definitely be checking them out. There's nothing like that first book launch, so enjoy it and take lots of pictures that day. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by and commenting, Juli. Crimson and Clover is in my TBR queue! I gotta move it closer to the top!
DeleteI can't wait! (For your books and the rest of your "letters.") xo
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming by, Francine. This was a fun series to do (I have more than half the alphabet done--very short posts! LOL) Looking forward (anticipating!) more visits from you!

Thanks, DMac. And I loved your post. Not too many culinary ones identified. I should read you there with my other persona--Sharon Arthur Moore (authorsam). If I show up under that name, I'll let you know! Thanks for coming by. I appreciate the support!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Between the Keys earlier today. I really look forward to the A to Z Challenge and meeting new people and checking out the different blogs. What fun!
ReplyDeleteYou had a really great blog post for A at Between the Keys. I am looking forward to reading you again. I agree--the real fun of this is meeting new bloggers and their ideas. Thanks for coming by, and I hope to see you here again!
DeleteCongratulations on your upcoming novel releases! I know all about anticipation. I've got a book under consideration (and they're taking *forever*) and another book up for a "best of" award...voting is closed, but winners won't be announced until the 5th. If that weren't enough, I had a job interview last week and I so want it.... they say patience is a virtue, I guess :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome post. Looking forward to the rest of the month!
Wow, H.B.! Lots going on for you, too! The waiting game is the real writing game, eh? I will be thinking good thoughts for you (the 5th is close!). Let me know what to look for so I can read your work. Thanks for coming by. Please come again when you can!
DeleteThanks, Angelica :) Love your "B" post too; sounds like a book I should check out in the name of "research" of course!

But, of course! LOL It is an interesting read, but it's not the kama sutra.
